But I don't think this can be correct for the central galaxies. Unfortunately, every paper and "punchline" on the subject uses different conditions for calling something a merger.Hogghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18398397408280534592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10448119.post-1119469100053384942005-06-22T15:38:00.000-04:002005-06-22T15:38:00.000-04:00i thought in the simulations the as galaxy mass is...i thought in the simulations the as galaxy mass is built through merger? i'm a bit lost! so the DM halo mass is built through merger events but the galaxies grow by accretion of gas?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10448119.post-1119463382581236992005-06-22T14:03:00.000-04:002005-06-22T14:03:00.000-04:00Remember:Cold mode dominates in low mass halos,Hot...Remember:
Cold mode dominates in low mass halos,
Hot mode dominates in massive halos.

Call if you need help.Kurthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03076973960956565537noreply@blogger.com
