converting names to sky positions

I had a frustratingly unproductive day today. My only tangible accomplishment was to make a non-robust "name" to "RA,Dec" converter in IDL that makes use of wget and grep. It's available on today's research page, and in Princeton CVS module idlutils.

    next time you have an unproductive day, you could try to find a horsehair brush for your shoes on line!

    Does this improve on or duplicate the functionality of the Goddard IDL Astro lib's querysimbad which has a /NED switch?
