Lang was in Pittsburgh writing code and reading off answers by Skype. Schölkopf and I were writing in disjoint parts of the text. One of the principal results of the paper was put in less than 120 seconds before the deadline. And yet we made it. We submitted to NIPS. This is a project proposed by Lang 11 days ago but finished today. Schölkopf's verdict: Deadlines are good! My verdict: Deadlines are unhealthy!
We plan to write an astronomer-friendly version and post it to arXiv.
